Remember and Honor

Today, on Veteran’s Day, we remember and honor our brave and courageous who have served and are serving, defending America’s liberty and freedom.

We remember and honor their sacrifice and commitment, from just and right battles at our founding against the tyranny of the Crown, to the defense of our soil in WWII, and in other just and right wars throughout our history.

Sacrifice

In honor of all those who have served, may we ensure that their service is not in vain and that our military might is only ever used for good and never for evil; the only good being the just, right and honorable defense of our Nation, property, and our God-given, natural rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.

We thank you the courageous and brave. May we, as beneficiaries of your sacrifice, repay you with our deepest gratitude and our commitment to undertake daily our most sincere efforts to:

  • deepen our understanding of the true value of individual liberty, self-determination and resulting freedoms, which sadly can only be sustained through a willingness from time-to-time to take up arms against tyranny;
  • live in alignment with the principles of liberty, self-responsibility and our founding, so as not to recklessly endanger this most cherished temporal possession called freedom, for future generations;
  • always humbly and with confidence live our lives to the fullest of our God-given potential, never ceasing in our desire and work to be our best and shine the light of both your sacrifice and liberty into perpetuity.

Thank you.

Note: What you cannot see here, is the tears through which I struggled to see to write this. My heart breaks for sacrifice dishonored. Today, our nation’s leadership and others complicit, erode our liberties and dishonor our brave’s sacrifice. May we repair this, and return to values worthy of God’s gift of human liberty.
